Well, it seems I am a holiday kind of gal.  I do love the holidays, and like to decorate for them, too.  I am getting better at not putting EVERYTHING our, though.  It still is fun, anyway.  Hoping you all have a very fun, safe 4th of July whatever you may be doing.  Happy Birthday, America.  God Bless You!!!

Happy Easter

It has been sooo long again since I last posted.  I guess life got in the way--or something!  I think facebook came along and took over.  I tried to post a little while ago and that doesn't look like it saved it, so I'll try again.  If it's a repeat of the pictures---sorry.  Looks like the format has changed in the way I used to post.  Anyway, here goes.  I'm posting some cards that I made this afternoon, thanks to the inspiration on CTMH Artwork pg. on FB.  Wishing you all, again, a very Happy Easter!

AH, June is here and there's lots going on this month. I just finished anniversary cards for my girls and husbands, sending off a cuple of retirement and birthday cards, and sadly, a couple of sympathy cards. The calendar is filling up with fun things to do this summer. I'm hoping you are all enjoying some great activities these next three months. Probably a couple of family reunions and maybe a vacation or two are on your list of things to do. The crops are in the ground and we can see them growing day by day. We're thankful for the couple of showers we've had, but could use some more soaking rain. The ground is still so thirsty! Mark helped get some pictures hung last weekend, so I'm getting closer to getting all settled in. I have lots of sewing projects in the works, so on very hot afternoons, maybe I can stay in and sew. It's so nice to be outside, tho. I've been busy hauling water to keep all my flower pots alive. I even planted flowers in an old wheel barrow I found in the shed. That Pinterest has lots of ideas!! I'd better get started on "Father's Day" cards next! Be sure to check out the Close to My HeartStampaganza going on this month. B2G1!! Everyone have a safe and fun filled summer! Pam

Happy Easter to all my Peeps!

I'm hoping you all have a happy, blessed Easter. We will be going to Medora for a big family gathering. The Easter bunny will be sure to find us there. I've been busy getting the old house cleaned out and am finally about finished. It's been both fun, and a chore to go through 45 years in one house. Lots of memories there, but on to making new ones.

I haven't had much time to stamp or scrap, but hoping to get back to that, and also lots of sewing lined up. I'm trying to sort all my fabric pieces into color families. That should make it easier to find just the right piece. Many of you may already do that, too.

This late winter/early spring weather has been one for the record books. We still need some rain to get the planting started. The few drops that fell yesterday won't quite do it. I know some of you don't like the rain, but we depend on it.

Here's "Lucy"

A new year and a new idea book to enjoy. This is a picture of the new Lucy paper. It is even cuter in person! I haven't had too much of a chance to play with some of the new stamps and papers, but hope to change that this week end. Getting rid of this bronchitis is #1 on my agenda right now. I haven't been able to fully enjoy this beautiful warm spell, so I really wish it would just continue for a while longer. My hopes this year are to remember that I have a blogspot, and to post a little more often. This past year has been especially full with "other" things. I'm still in the process of getting everything moved from the old house. Getting much closer now. It's hard to go through 45 years of living in one spot!

I resolve to try to be a better poster this year!! Somehow real life sometimes gets in the way and I get side-tracked. Doesn't everyone??

It's that time again!

The new Autumn/Winter Idea Book goes live today! Beautiful new ink colors, papers,stamps, of course, and accessories! I always love looking through and getting lots of ideas for cards and layouts. The new ink colors are in the summer palette, as they are vivid and bright. I can't make up my mind which color would be my favorite. I love them all! I'll be taking my book to study while I'm sitting in line at the elevator!! Harvest has started much earlier than last year, so hopefully that means we'll get through a lot earlier, too. Get outside when you can and enjoy the beautiful fall weather that this time of year brings. It's my favorite!!! I'm posting a couple of pictures from the new catalog. Cherry-O everyone! That's the name of one of the new paper packs in the latest edition of our catalog! I can't wait for you to see it. Splendor, Passages and Zippidee are the other new ones. I'm celebrating my 14th year with Close To My Heart. I can hardly believe it. The company started out as D.O.T.S. (Dozens of Terrific Stamps) then changed to CTMH® a couple of years after I began. I still love it--even more than when I started. We've come such a long way!!

I'm hoping that after my surgery, I can have a mini-open house, or at least a fun call-in with discounts for you to enjoy, probably in June. Happy, Happy Easter

This is a very special time of year, for we ARE Easter People! Wishing all a very blessed Easter. A little bit of April showers going on today. Hope it's brief so the ground can dry enough for spring work and planting to go on. I love seeing the forsythia, daffodils and other spring flowers in bloom. In a week or so everything should be greening up and blooming out for us to see. How magnificent, after a bleak, cold winter!

I'm adding a pix of a few of the cards I've been making. Recovering from shingles has kept me inside a lot lately. Hope you enjoy. This month's stamp of the month is fantastic. I've already made about 7 cards with it, with plans for more. I love it's versatility! You'll have to check it out!

Good morning and hoping everyone had a very fine St. Paddy's Day yesterday. Thought I'd post a few cards that I've been working on. I'm hoping to get stamp club together again very soon. This 3 week ordeal with shingles hasn't been any fun at all. Finally feeling better, so I'm anxious to get to working on things that I'd planned to do these last couple of weeks. I'm glad the weather is improving. I love spring and can't wait to see some things blossoming. My daffodils are budding up, so I don't want them to freeze. I may have to find some way to cover them up!

Happy Valentines Day! Just a little snow falling, but a beautiful day outside. Erin and Kate are outside playing, swinging in the swing on the front porch. We're glad to get to see them more often and wish Jacqui's family could be here this week end, too. Maybe next time!

Lots of Birthdays to celebrate!

January is a big birthday month for our family. I've been working on lots of cards to send. Payton turns 13 on Feb 2, on Groundhog Day! This card is for her, perfect, I hope, since she plays guitar. I used paper from the You Rock paper pack, stamp sets Rock Star and Your Rock. Ink colors are outdoor denim, goldrush and olive. The guitar on the front is one of the new "Top Coats", and is attached with a hinge. Hope she likes it! If you would like a new Spring Idea Book, let me know. Bringing in the new year wishes

Happy New Year everyone! My wish for all of you is much happiness and good health in 2010. I've had a hard time trying to write the new year. I've filled in the year on several checks in my checkbook to help me remember!

New and exciting things are going on in CTMH. It is National Papercrafting Month, and with the weather outside today, I hope to get some crafting done. First, it's painting 500 clothespins black--for sheep's feet-- for an Ag in the Classroom lesson next week. Spray painting would be nice, but the weather is not cooperating. We've had about 4" so far, and starting to blow.

Okay, it looks like I'm a 5th of the month poster. Maybe things will slow down a little now that harvest is FINALLY over----not! Christmas is fast approaching and I have lots to do yet. I sat in the truck the other day and put some Christmas cards together. I need to do some stamping yet, and maybe I'll get them sent out soon.
